HOW IT WORKS

STEP 1

Initial 1 hour appointment to go over design ideas, any metals or stones you would like to use and budget. We will  go through some necessary paperwork and help fine tune two design ideas moving forward to produce a 3D design and prototypel.

A very rough estimate of cost may be provided at this stage along with the timeframe.

STEP 2

The two 3D rendered designs will seen at a second appointment with a prototype. You can view stones for the item and discuss. At this stage we can make any adjustments and give you a more accurate quote. If happy with the design & price we will take a 50% deposit. If you would like to redirect your design that will be discussed. 

STEP 3

This is the final collection appointment at the agreed time. Final payment will be taken and a discussion on the work carried out. You will receive any necessary paperwork and your beautiful jewellery! 

  • CAN I USE YOUR SERVICES IF I DON'T LIVE LOCALLY?
    We have many jobs on the go at once with people who can't physically be here so there are many ways we can go about this. We can arrange phone or conferance call, post, meeting points etc. It does depend on what service you would like but if you want to discuss this please contact us.
  • WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR DIAMONDS FROM?
    We go to the 4 main cutting centres around the world (Antwerp in Belgium, Tel Aviv in Israel, Mumbai in India and New York in USA) to find your perfect Diamond/Gemstone! All of our Diamonds are sourced under the Kimberley Process.
  • DO YOU BUY SCRAP GOLD?
    Yes, we have been buying and selling gold for nearly 60 years. We can buy any qualities of Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium. Please contact us and book an appointment before coming in.
  • DO YOU REPAIR WATCHES?
    We have decided to no longer continuing our Watch services, this also includes reseals and batteries. However, if you have a watch that we have recently repaired and is still in the 12 month guarantee period then we will be happy to assist you on this occasion.
  • IS MY JEWELLERY INSURED WHEN I LEAVE IT WITH YOU?
    Yes, fully insured whilst on the premises.
  • CAN YOU DO A VALUATION FOR PROBATE?
    Yes, it is the same price as valuations for insurance. Timescale and price can vary however depending on the number of items. Please contact us if you would like more information.
  • CAN I GET SOMETHING ENGRAVED?
    Absolutely! Words, patterns or pictures. We can offer laser or hand engraving. Price and time does vary so please contact us if you wish to discuss options further.
  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET SOMETHING BESPOKE MADE?
    Usually the process does take a few weeks. On average, around 3-6 weeks to be comfortable, find time to get together for appointments and to enjoy the experience fully however we have been known to make pieces in a matter of days if it is urgent. That is the advantage of having everything in house.
  • IS THERE A GUARANTEE WITH MY REPAIR?
    Yes, there is a 12 month guarantee unless stated.* Dates/transactions are all logged onto our system. *In some cases with some repair or restoration work to older, fragile pieces we may not be able to give this level of guarantee.
  • HOW MUCH WILL A REPAIR COST ME?
    We will do any quotes or estimates free of charge at any time in person however price does vary hugely depending on the item so this is an impossible question to answer. We cannot give quotes over the phone.
  • IF I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT, HOW SOON CAN I COME IN?"
    Sometimes the same day or same hour so long as we have an available slot for you. Please look at our opening hours before calling us.
  • WHERE DO YOU KEEP MY JEWELLERY WHEN I LEAVE IT WITH YOU?
    All items stay in our highly secure safes unless it is being worked on by our fully insured expert technicians.
  • IS EVERYTHING DONE ON THE PREMISES?
    95% of work is done in house unless we need to use our hall-markers as this is a legal requirement to be done by a government assay office. We do use highly skilled specialists for work such as engraving or stone cutting. Everything else is done here in our new workshops that you can come and watch or even get your own hands dirty!
  • DO YOU HAVE TO KEEP MY JEWELLERY WHILST YOU VALUE IT?
    Yes. We appreciate jewellery is very sentimental to many however we cannot value your items without fully assessing it. This is the case no matter where you go. On average we will need it for 2-3 weeks depending on the number of items but it will be 100% secure whilst it is with us and will be returned to you clean & shiny!
